Judy is very happy, curious girl with the aim to be better, as we can see from her first letter. She really love her father and tell everything about her life in college to the father. She made a mistake, but it only urged her to learn everything she didn't know.

From the second letter we knew that she made a friend (not so good, but still). Her relationship with father is good so far. She shared with her father about all the things had happend to her. But it seems to me that she was not that sure that her father was interested in those letters. She offered him to toss letter if they bothered him.

In the third letter we can see that she still like it there. It was hard to study there, but she tried her best. It's very important that then she was not sure if it had been normal to write a letter. Her father didn't answer her and wasn't perfectly sure if he had read the letters.

I think she tried to show to her father that his interest would help her overcome all the difficulties. She needed him to say a good word to her, so that she would feel better.
